GIS Engineer 

Responsibilities:

• Creating QGIS or ArcGIS designs using survey information working to production deadlines and quality parameters

• Understanding all Health & Safety considerations and ensuring you apply them to your daily activities in the production of designs

• Have a can-do attitude in an ever changing and fast paced industry where the ability to think on your feet and apply yourself is essential

• Provide support and mentorship to trainees within the department

• Recommend and implement continuous process improvements within the department and wider company

• Maintain all Health & safety policies as instructed to you and apply them to your daily activities.

What We Need From You:

• Academic background in GIS or significant relevant experience

• Experience of using GIS software and extensions

• Understanding of fibre network design, FTTX, CDM

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and spatial analysis skills

• Focus on automation and continuous process improvement

• Keen to gain commercial experience

• Self motivated, reliable and proactive with a can-do attitude

• Willingness to develop existing skills and knowledge with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in GIS or the Telecoms industry

• Interest in telecommunications networks, design and operations
