  • Prepare month end financial information to ensure that the targeted close is achieved, including preparing and posting journals and the input of all financial data into relevant systems

  • Prepare and submit all monthly Management accounts including control account reconciliations

  • Prepare month end and year end accounts

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, assisting and mentoring all department managers in the preparation of their budget costs where necessary

  • Engage in external audits, ensuring the Company is compliant

  • Work in team, provide direction and coaching to junior team members

  • Assist in all aspects of stock control in relation to cycle counting, and/or physical inventory counts, review variances, prepare cycle count KPIs and attend cycle counts as a financial auditor where necessary

  • Review and suggest ways of how internal business metrics can be improved to assist management in decision making

  • Provide all KPI information required by department management

  • Assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of financial management as the need arises

  • Assist in reviewing current costing – materials, labour and overhead and updating and making recommendations for improvements

  • Assist with application and claims for appropriate grants

  • Review and sign off on subcontractor payments and provide reports to management

  • Attend meetings where financial input is required and deputise for the Financial Controller at meetings when required

  • Adherence to all Health and safety practises 

  • Provide support to management and directors as required

You will be expected to:

  • The ideal person will have a proven track record of working in growing Company and in a fast paced environment.

  • Fully qualified

  • At least 2 years’ PQE

  • Strong commercial understanding of finance regulations

  • Strong background of financial analysis

  • High-level of IT literacy, proficient user of Microsoft Office tools

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

  • Effective negotiation skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • CIS experience is desirable
