Overhead Engineers

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • To construct, maintain as well as replace the overhead electrical Network

  • To brief you team of any potential risks and hazards that may be associated on the different projects.

  • Motivate your team, ensuring that they undertake work as directed by you.

  • If any issues or health and safety concerns do arise, know the correct process to escalate this to your line manager.

  • All work is conducted as effectively and efficiently as possible in accordance to Viberoptix and clients procedures.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with member of the public in a polite manner.

Front Line Manager

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Conduct on site assessments are to ensure that installs are above required standard.

  • Forecast the material requirements for each install and any necessary repair work.

  • Liaise directly with Stores to ensure there is a process in place to manage the usage of install and service material.

  • Ensure sufficient products and material are in place and successfully monitor and manage material usage

  • KPI and Project deadlines are successfully achieved and any employees with unperforming metrics is addressed accordingly.

  • Previous experience of managing a team and ensuring that company policies and policies are adhered to.

  •  Delegate Operatives for different roles.

  • Mentor sub-contractors on site and complete in progress audits.

  • Provide senior management with regular reports and findings.

Fibre Splicer

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Ensuring all Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to.

  • Team player but also has the ability to work individually to achieve KPI’s and achieve set targets.

  • Production of Fibre characterisation reports.

  • Successful installation of optical fibre cable to Viberoptix required standards, this includes finding faults on the existing networks.

  • Testing and Splicing the external optical fibres to ensure that they are in line with the quality standards using EXFP/ILM/OTDR

  • Splicing of live network fusion through using a Fujikura 70s or similar.

Noticing & Symology Officer

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: 

  • To ensure that the applicable traffic management systems and provisions are in place and authorised for all relevant works taking place on the network. 

  • To successfully be able to process applications for a permit, and association permit-variation to ensure their potential impact is effectively minimised and controlled.  

  • To effectively monitor and review all regulatory statutory street works and highway authority regarding roadworks. 

  • Coordinate the relevant activities throughout the designated areas. 

  • Ensure the necessary compliance notices, authorisation and controls are carried out when processing of NRSWA and Highways Act Licences.  

  • Work with the project teams to ensure the works are completed within the set time frames, all the relevant paperwork, photos are received from site and ensure that all notices an permits are opened and closed on time to prevent fines being issued by local authorities.  

  • Complication of payment and reconciliation of fees and charges, providing essential support when collecting fees and charges.  

  • Processing applications of related charges and penalties due to prosecutions related to Street Works Register and liaise with the relevant individual to discuss the reason for the charge.  

  • Be able to identify and apply application to non-compliance and implementation through prosecutions and sanction.

HSEQ Officer

The Role: 

The Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Officer role will be initially office-based reviewing, revising, and implementing, our ISO Integrated Management System but will also require travel to construction sites to carry out inspections and audits along with providing HSEQ support to site and management teams. The role will also involve managing ISO Integrated Management Systems to ISO 9001,14001, and 45001 standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

General duties 

  • Support the implementation and management of the companies Integrated Management System 

  • Support several projects and departments to meet the requirements of the Safety, Quality and Environment Management systems 

  • Assist the site teams and managers by recognising hazards, seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the health, safety, and environmental standards
